How does Solo Violin sound? What does Tania bring? Does she use a PA?
Tania uses an amplified violin and backing tracks to create to her sound. The violin has a microphone built into it and everything Tania plays blends with the backing track in real time and comes out through the PA like a radio stream. It's so beautiful! Your guests will think it's a recording, but it's absolutely Live and spectacular!
How far in advance should I book musical services with Tania?
The earlier you book in your planning process, the more likely I will be available on your wedding date! Don't wait- Dates are booked on a " first-come- first- served" basis!
Can you play more than one wedding on any particular date?
Theoretically, yes, but I don't. Once I commit to your wedding date, I close that date availability. I am flexible to your schedule and needs on your wedding date and if there is a change in your schedule, I have the day blocked out to be ready for that.
Can you learn a song for me?
Yes, of course! I LOVE learning new repertoire and find joy in making my clients dreams come true!
What is your most popular package?
My solo violin package for Ceremony and cocktail hour, which includes the 30 minutes of hospitality and welcome music for your guests, customized music for your ceremony and a full hour of cocktail hour entertainment! *If your cocktail hour is longer than an hour, there is an additional fee for the extra duration.
What other kind of musical ensembles does Tania Susi Music offer?
I'm so glad you asked! I have a variety of Duo combinations such as Violin+Keyboard, Violin + Guitar and Violin+ Cello. I also have a String Trio and a String Quartet option for you.
Can Tania Susi Music provide a microphone for my ceremony officiant?
Yes, I am happy to do that! I can provide a wireless microphone on a stand with a dedicated PA for your ceremony. There is a additional charge for that.
Has Tania played at my Venue?
Chances are, YES! I have lived in the Capital Region for the last 20 years and have been playing weddings here even before I decided to move to the area.I often play at Canfield Casino, Saratoga National, The Hall of Springs, The Adelphi Hotel, The Inn at Erlowest, The Sagamore, The Sablewood, Glen Sanders Mansion, The Promise Gardens and many other unique venues. Just ask, I've probably worked a wedding there!
Can Tania play with my organist at the church?
Yes! Absolutely! If you are having an organist or pianist play for your ceremony, Tania will play collaborate with them and your ceremony music will be breathtaking! I can also hire an organist/pianist if you need me to.
When does Tania arrive, and what does she play?
Tania will arrive approximately 1 1/2 -2 hours before the ceremony to set up her equipment, check in and communicate with the officiant & wedding planner. The music will start approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the ceremony, typically as your first guests arrive.
How far will Tania travel?
Much of my wedding work is within the Capital Region the Adirondacks, the Hudson Valley and Berkshires......However, I LOVE destination weddings and I WILL travel for you. Just inquire and we'll make it happen! I've played weddings at The Thousand Islands, Cape Cod, and NYC....and I'm willing to travel further!
How long will Tania play?
Typically, Tania will play 30 minutes, of hospitality and welcoming music as your guests arrive. Then, she plays music for the Bridal Party and Bride, which is officially called the" Processional and Recessional Music". Cocktail hour is one full hour of music and entertainment.
Do you need to be near electrical power to be able to play?
Not necessarily, the acoustic violin sound travels very easily and is louder than a human voice. However, if I am amplifying my sound, which in most cases, I prefer doing, I will need to be near electrical power.I do have battery powered equipment just in case I have no electrical power.
Does Tania Susi Music, LLC have Insurance?
Yes! Absolutely! My business is completely safe, secure and legal. I am more than happy to provide your venue with a Certificate of Insurance or C.O.I. for my company.
Contract & Payment
Fill out the Booking page on this website and I will respond to you about your event. Once we speak, I send you the contract. It only costs $300 to book! The rest of your invoice isn't due until the month before your event! Bookings are valid once contracts have been signed by all parties and your initial $300 retainer has been received.
Timeline leading up to your Wedding Day!
Once you have booked and reserved my services, our timeline will officially begin 5 weeks prior to your wedding date. That is when I contact you via email and send you music forms to help you choose music for your ceremony and cocktail hour. We can talk on the phone or video chat to go over songs together. If you have a special request- this should be enough time for me to accommodate your request. We will also have a video chat or phone call the week of your wedding to confirm all of your choices.
